The objectives of Kilimanjaro Institute are:

• Create a center where the frontiers of knowledge could be advanced by scientific research;
• Meet the  high-level human  resource  need  of the  society and train to produce practitioners;
• Comply with the educational policies, regulations, rules and procedures as provided from time to time by relevant regulatory authorities;
• Provide a broad participation base in the provision of quality education at every level within the institution;
• develop skills development program that will contribute to employment and creation and income generation skills;
• Implement learner centered and competence based training programmes;
• Ensure relevance, efficiency and  effectiveness  in  teaching and learning process among trainees and trainers.
